Clean Power Plan – Public Outreach
In order to share and receive information from a wide variety of affected interests, the Clean Power Plan team conducted its first series of public involvement meetings throughout the state.
Our initial public involvement meeting schedule included the following meetings:
|November 18, 2015||Santa Fe|
|November 19, 2015||Albuquerque|
|December 4, 2015||Las Vegas|
|December 7, 2015||Roswell|
|December 8, 2015||Las Cruces|
|December 14, 2015||Farmington|
|January 11, 2016||Gallup|
|January 12, 2016||Grants|
The public involvement meeting series was intended to provide opportunity for questions and public comment regarding New Mexico’s State Plan development. For further questions or comments regarding the Clean Power Plan and New Mexico’s compliance planning efforts, email NMENV-NMCPP@state.nm.us or call (505) 476-4300.
NMED thanks all those who participated in our first series of public involvement meetings. The input we received is valuable and will be part of our considerations moving forward. We will initiate further public involvement to share and receive input on New Mexico’s envisioned approach.
For those unable to attend the first series of meetings, you may view NMED’s brief presentation on the Clean Power Plan. Additional information is available on the CPP Requirements page, including handouts in both English and Spanish.
If you have not already done so, please sign up for email alerts regarding the Clean Power Plan. This is the best way to receive early announcements regarding further public involvement opportunities.
