Installing&nbsp;or&nbsp;operating&nbsp;electric vehicle chargers, supplying renewable diesel, or electrifying a fleet are all examples of ways to generate&nbsp;credits.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fuel credits<\/strong>&nbsp;are earned by supplying&nbsp;clean transportation&nbsp;fuel, such as:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Biofuel,&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Renewable diesel,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Renewable natural gas,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hydrogen,&nbsp;or&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electricity.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Equipment credits<\/strong>&nbsp;are earned&nbsp;by expanding&nbsp;clean fuel supply equipment, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Residential&nbsp;electric&nbsp;vehicle chargers,&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-residential electric vehicle chargers,&nbsp;or&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Renewable natural gas&nbsp;refueling stations.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project credits<\/strong>&nbsp;are earned by reducing&nbsp;transportation-related emissions in other ways, such as:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Installation of solar panels&nbsp;on facilities&nbsp;that&nbsp;produce&nbsp;transportation fuel,&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carbon capture and sequestration, or&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expansion of public transportation.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How utilities and EV manufacturers can use credit revenue<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the&nbsp;program, electric utilities and electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers&nbsp;must&nbsp;use revenue from selling credits to&nbsp;further decarbonize transportation in New Mexico.
