Individual Public Water Systems

The New Mexico Environment Department Drinking Water Bureau offers a searchable database to the public, which allows you to find records for any public water system (PWS) in New Mexico.  The database is called the Drinking Water Watch. It has multiple search parameters that enable a broad search (more than one PWS might be displayed in the search results) or a narrow search (one specific PWS will display in the search results). You must use one of the three required parameters:

  • Water System Number
  • Water System Name
  • County Map

Search Tips

  • Use the Water System Number if known to go right to a specific PWS
  • Use the first word of a multi-word PWS name
  • Use the County Map link to get a list of all PWSs in a specific county
  • Click on the Water System No. in the search results to open the PWS record
