Requests for an Equivalency of a water or wastewater certification involves confirmation of previous experience and requirements met for determination of the appropriate level of a New Mexico Certification(s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please complete all information on the Equivalency application, sign and mail to address below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NEWLY Revised Equivalency&nbsp;<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2018\/04\/2020-05-21_New-Equivalency-App-Updated_EH-appr._05.27.21.pdf\">Application<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;<em>Updated 5\/28\/21<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NMED Utility Operator Certification Program<\/strong><br>PO Box 5469, Santa Fe NM 87502<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>OR<\/strong><br><strong>Pay ONLINE:&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>(please read important notice below)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IMPORTAN NOTICE:&nbsp; Before<\/strong>&nbsp;you can proceed with your online payment, a UOCP staff member will send to you an email notification confirming the Certification&nbsp;details and the FEES&nbsp;due.&nbsp;As soon as you receive&nbsp;this&nbsp;email notification, you will be given 3-days in which to pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please also be sure to include copies of the necessary items listed below with your application:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Copy of your current water or wastewater certification(s) to be evaluated for equivalency.<\/li><li>Copy of High school diploma or GED certificate or high school transcripts showing graduation date (in lieu of a high school diploma) \u2026 and\/or<\/li><li>College transcripts (if attained)<\/li><li>Copies of training completion certificates for any water or wastewater training credits earned.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If approved, an approval letter from the Utility Operator Certification Program will be issued to the applicant stating an equivalency certification(s) for New Mexico is awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you have questions regarding Certification Equivalency, please contact Nile Carver (505) 372-8172 or via email&nbsp;at&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:nile.carver@state.nm.us\">nile.carver@state.nm.us<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Utility Operator Certification Program (UOCP) will evaluate water and wastewater certifications from other States and Tribal Authorities for certification equivalency.
