Plan Ahead!

To properly plan for the preparation and cooking of your holiday meal make sure that you have adequate:
  • Refrigeration and freezer space to store all cold foods. Do not over pack your refrigerator or freezer because this will not allow the unit to circulate enough cool air to keep your food cold.
  • Oven space to prepare all foods that will be cooked. Electric roaster ovens are a convenient way to roast large items.
  • Counter space to do necessary preparation. If at all possible, prepare raw and cooked foods on separate counters to avoid cross-contamination.
