Revisions to Ground Water Quality Regulations

Proposed Revisions to the Ground and Surface Water Protection Regulations (20.6.2 NMAC)

The New Mexico Environment Department submitted a petition to the Water Quality Control Commission (WQCC) to amend the Ground and Surface Water Protection Regulations (20.6.2 NMAC) and requesting a hearing. The petition was submitted on March 22, 2017 and was on the agenda for the WQCC's April 11, 2017 meeting. On April 19, 2017, the Department withdrew the Petition. A new Petition was filed on May 1, 2017 and will be heard at the WQCC's May 9, 2017 meeting.

The WQCC held a public hearing on the Petition to Amend 20.6.2 NMAC from November 14 – 17, 2017.
