Man Camps

In an effort to mitigate any public health hazards, surface water contamination , or groundwater contamination from on-site liquid waste disposal practices, the Department is investigating man camps in the Carlsbad, NM area.  The purpose of the investigation is to insure that liquid waste is being disposed of in a manner that does not threaten the public health.  The Department is working with the owners of these man camps to encourage voluntary compliance wherever possible.
