Water Reuse Regulations will be a part of 20.6.2 NMAC, and will incorporate industrial, domestic and produced  water reuse. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.env.nm.gov\/water-reuse\/\">produced water rulemaking<\/a> will be the first part of the water reuse rulemaking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"471\" src=\"https:\/\/www.env.nm.gov\/new-mexico-produced-water\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2023\/09\/Regulatory-Structure-1024x821.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-471\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.env.nm.gov\/new-mexico-produced-water\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2023\/09\/Rulemaking-Timeline-1.pdf\">tentative timeline<\/a> has been established for the water reuse rulemaking for the produced water regulations. NMED hosted the meetings along with representatives from the Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD) and the Office of the State Engineer (OSE) to provide stakeholders with information on produced water and NMED\u2019s upcoming rulemaking process. The public engagement process provided opportunities for stakeholders to share input with state officials on the range of critical environmental, natural resource and human health considerations involved in the implementation of the Produced Water Act. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">&nbsp;<\/span>Meetings were held in October and November (2019)  in Albuquerque (Oct 15), Santa Fe (Oct 30), Carlsbad (Nov 14), Farmington (Nov 19) and  Las Cruces (Nov 25). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><a style=\"font-size: revert\" href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2019\/08\/2020-09-01-WPD-PW-Summary-of-Initial-Public-Input-Report-Final-ES-Spanish.pdf\">Summary of Initial Public Input on Produced Water<\/a><span style=\"font-size: revert;color: initial\">&nbsp;(Espa\u00f1ol)<\/span> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Recordatorio de Participaci\u00f3n P\u00fablica sobre el Agua Producida:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In 2019, El Departamento de Medio Ambiente de Nuevo M\u00e9xico (NMED, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) organizar\u00e1 una serie de reuniones de divulgaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica en todo el estado para envolver al p\u00fablico en el tema del tratamiento del agua producida para su uso fuera de la industria del petr\u00f3leo y gas. NMED organizar\u00e1 las reuniones junto con representantes del Departamento de Energ\u00eda, Minerales y Recursos Naturales (EMNRD, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) y la Oficina del Ingeniero del Estado (OSE, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) para proporcionar a las partes interesadas informaci\u00f3n sobre el agua producida y el pr\u00f3ximo proceso de reglamentaci\u00f3n de NMED.
