EXPECT 15-20 BUSINESS DAYS TO RECEIVE YOUR CERTIFICATE BY USPS.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While waiting for your certificate to arrive, you and your employer should use the Public Register<\/strong><\/a> located on the Application Portal to verify your active status. A delayed certificate should not impede your ability to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IN A HURRY?  Email a prepaid FedEx shipping label along with your application to expedite the process.  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your certificate has already been mailed, MIRTP will NOT resend another certificate(s). MIRTP must wait for the certificate(s) to be returned to our office to verify non-receipt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can always request a duplicate certificate for $15.00 to be sent by FedEx, and provide the prepaid shipping label.\u00a0 Duplicates can be requested on the Licensee Portal<\/a> through a technologist\u2019s profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Medical Imaging Radiation Therapy Health and Safety Program (MIRTP) regulation authority is through Sections 61-14E-1 to 12 NMSA 1978 and 20.3.20 NMAC<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please review the regulations annually, regulations are subject to change after the Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Advisory Council\u2019s (MIRTAC) annual December meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reading the regulations and understanding your role and responsibilities is important, we encourage you to attend the annual MIRTAC meeting every December which is posted on the NMED Calendar page once the meeting date has been scheduled every year. During the meeting you can listen to upcoming changes, listen to concerns from medical facilities, and voice your concerns or ideas as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For New Applicants:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Users applying for a license for the first time will need to create an account. They can do this by clicking “Register for an Account” on the Application Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Existing NMED Licensees:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
