A Matter before the Water Quality Control Commission
in Public Hearing, Docket No. WQCC 14-05 (R)

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) petitioned the Water Quality Control Commission (WQCC) at its July 8, 2014 regular public meeting to conduct the triennial review of New Mexico’s Water Quality Standards, 20.6.4 NMAC. A review of the Standards on a three-year basis is required by Section 303(c) of the federal Clean Water Act (CWA). Along with the petition, NMED presented its proposed amendments and narrative explanation.

The Boards & Commissions Administrator docketed the matter as WQCC  14-05 (R) and prepared a pleading log, which will be maintained throughout the course of the proceeding. The deadline for all parties to file notices of intent to present technical testimony is Friday,December 12, 2014. The hearing is currently scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

The pleadings (below) filed in this matter before the Hearing Officer on behalf of the WQCC currently includes 4 entries from the NMED as well as the Hearing Officer.
