The Drinking Water Bureau regulates public water systems in New Mexico. A public water system is any water system that serves at least 15 service connections or 25 individuals at least 60 days out of the year.

Drinking Water Bureau Quality Management Plan (QMP) - The QMP describes the quality system used by the Drinking Water Bureau for planning, implementing, documenting, and assessing the effectiveness of activities supporting environmental data operations and other environmental programs.

Public Water System Supervision (PWSS)

Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) for Sanitary Surveys of Public Water Systems - All sanitary survey activities performed by NMED DWB staff or contractors are covered within this QAPP.

Sustainable Water Infrastructure Group (SWIG)

Water and Wastewater Utility Operator Certification - testing, certificates, training

Source Water Protection - assessment, planning, special studies

Water Conservation Fund (WCF) - Laboratory Certification and Sample Collection at public water systems

Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) for Drinking Water Samples - All drinking water sampling activities performed by NMED DWB samplers and Public Water System certified operators are covered within this QAPP.
