Alliances

The New Mexico Occupational Health and Safety Bureau’s (NM OSHA’s) Alliance agreements provide unions, consulates, trade or professional organizations, faith- and community-based organizations, businesses, and educational institutions an opportunity to participate in a voluntary cooperative relationship with NM OSHA for purpose of reducing and eliminating occupational-related injuries, illnesses and deaths through training and education, outreach and communication, sharing of expertise, and promoting a State dialogue on workplace health and safety. These Alliances have proved to be valuable tools for both NM OSHA and its Alliance participants. By entering into an Alliance with an entity, NM OSHA is not endorsing any of that entity’s products or services; nor does the Bureau enter into an Alliance with the purpose of promoting a particular entity’s products or services. Additionally, Alliance agreements do not include an enforcement component and participants do not receive an exemption or deferral from OSHA inspections.
