Certification Renewal FAQs:

  • UOCP will email each certificate holder a “Renewal Notice and Application” to the last email address of record.
  • Renewal Notice and Applications are emailed monthly to the operators 45-days prior to the certificate(s) expiration.
  • Failure to receive a renewal notice is not an allowable excuse for not renewing certificate(s).
  • Each operator bears the responsibility to renew his/her certificate(s) prior to the expiration date to remain active.
  • If a certification is not renewed by the expiration date listed on the certificate, the certificate is considered “lapsed & invalid” and is not considered active.
  • Operators with lapsed or expired certifications are not allowed to perform any water or wastewater system operations, unless he/she is directly supervised by another operator who holds the correct, active certification to run the system or facility.
