The General Construction Permit-6 is a voluntary permit that provides federally enforceable conditions to reduce and limit VOC emissions from Storage Vessels. Please review the entire GCP-6 permit to determine whether your facility will qualify. Note the allowable equipment in Tables 102.A and 102.B. If there will be other equipment at the site and the potential emission rate (PER) of the entire site (including the equipment in a GCP-6 application) is more than 10 tons per year of any regulated air contaminant (includes VOCs), you may also need to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI). The NOI forms should list the PER of the equipment not included in the GCP-6 application and the potential to emit of the equipment included in the GCP-6 as a single line item in the NOI. The total emissions of the facility are used in the NOI applicability determination. Permitting alternatives include the GCP-Oil and Gas permit or a regular construction permit.
