The New Mexico Environment Department is pleased to announce that 20.2.50 NMAC Oil and Gas Sector – Ozone Precursor Pollutants was filed with the New Mexico State Records administrator pursuant to Section 14-4-3 of the New Mexico State Rules Act on July 6, 2022. The final rule was published in Issue 14 of the NM Register on July 26, 2022, with an effective date of August 5, 2022.

The New Mexico Environmental Improvement Board held a public hearing beginning September 20, 2021, to consider NMED’s proposed regulations targeting emissions of ozone precursor pollutants from the oil and natural gas sector.
