Environmental Improvement Board

The Environmental Improvement Board usually meets in public the fourth Friday of every month pursuant to its 2020 Open Meetings Act Resolution. Public meetings are scheduled to be held in Santa Fe or as indicated on the meeting agenda. The EIB may not meet during the legislative session or if there are no agenda items to discuss.

Please be advised that the Friday, July 24, 2020 Environmental Improvement Board (EIB) meeting has been canceled. As of July 10, the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) will not have a staff administrator to service the Boards and Commissions that are administratively attached to the agency. At this time, the NMED is not able to budget or recruit a candidate for this vacancy or other vacancies in our Office of Public Facilitation. We understand the critical role that our Boards and Commissions serve. NMED is working diligently to remedy this situation and will notify the public when meetings resume. All EIB meetings are open to the public.  During meetings, upon the direction of the Board Chair, there will be time available for public comment on agenda items and on items not on the agenda.
