Section 20.3.2.211 of the New Mexico Radiation Protection Rules (20.3 NMAC) provides the criteria for using radiation machines registered or licensed in another state. Radiation Machine Recognition will allow the out-of-state registrant or licensee to work on sites within the State of New Mexico for not more than 180 days in a calendar year. Radiation Machine Recognition is granted on a calendar year basis to expire on December 31st.

Radiation Machine Recognition issued to a company requires the company to notify the Bureau in writing two (2) days before entering the State. Submit the “Out of State Radiation Machine 2-Day Notification” to: RCB.Reciprocity@state.nm.us All forms are available on the NMED Forms page
