Proposed Hazardous Waste Permit and Corrective Action Fee Regulations, 20.4.2 NMAC
A meeting was held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 9:00 am at the NMED District 1 Office in Albuquerque, located at 121 Tijeras Avenue NE Suite 1000, to discuss and take comments on the proposed fee regulations. July 12, 2019 – E-mail announcing August 29, 2019 meeting and summary of July 10, 2019 meeting.

February 7, 2019 – The New Mexico Environment Department is proposing to revise the Hazardous Waste Permit and Corrective Action Fees (Fee Regulations), 20.4.2 NMAC. An initial introduction to the proposed Fee Regulations was provided at a February 7, 2019 teleconference.

Generator Improvement Rule
The Environmental Improvement Board (EIB), the promulgating authority for hazardous waste regulations, adopted the recent federal generator rules which have been incorporated by reference into the New Mexico Hazardous Waste Management Regulations, 20.4.1 NMAC. The Hazardous Waste Bureau is providing a New Rule Crosswalk to indicate the previous regulatory requirements and the newly adopted regulations.
